After five years in our Atwood Avenue location, we decided it was time to make the move to a bigger space. We are now located in the Lake Edge Shopping Center with some of our favorite family-friendly local businesses: Fired Up Pottery, Crema Cafe and Monona Bootery. Our address is 4116 Monona Drive; Madison, WI 53716.
How do I get there? Easy peasy...
From our current location: Head east on Atwood Avenue. Atwood Ave turns into Monona Drive. Lake Edge is on the left side of the street past the corner of Monona and Buckeye.
From the beltline (12-18): Take the Monona Drive exit and head west to 4116 Monona. OR take the Stoughton road exit and head west. Take a left on Buckeye Road - drive until Buckeye hits Monona and the shopping center is right there.
Why Lake Edge?
Oh how we love the Atwood Neighborhood...and we miss being right in it! However we wanted to move to a bigger location that would be easier to get to and find - while still being close to our first location. We also love the fact that Lake Edge has other businesses that you, our customers, are likely to love. For example, Monona Bootery is a great children's shoe store - we've been referring our customers there for years! And we like this neighborhood too - it's a stone's throw from Lake Monona, sandwiched between the Pinney Branch and Monona libraries, and down the street from Nuestro Mundo charter school.
Tell me more...
- Our Monona Drive space is about 3 times larger than our old Atwood Avenue space - we doubled our retail space and added a second classroom!
- The second classroom has allowed us to expand our offerings of classes and groups.
- We have a kids play area in the store so your kids can have fun while you shop!
- More fun for kids! Both the walls and the floor in the bathrooms can be drawn on - helpful for keeping siblings occupied during diaper changes, etc.
- The view of the Capitol across the Lake- especially at sunset - sure is fabulous!
- It's beautiful inside, too! We're have eco-friendly paint and cork floors - plus gorgeous recycled glass accents (from Eco-Friendly Flooring) and we incorporated tiles painted by our lovely customers into the space.
